St. Mary Aldermary may be the most important late 17th century Gothic church in England. The striking feature is its plaster fan-vaulted ceiling, in both the nave and side aisles, which raises the gaze and inspires awe in a way more reminiscent of traditional cathedrals.

Weddings
St. Mary Aldermary, makes a great wedding venue and we look forward to hosting these joyful occasions. As a Guild Church, the situation is slightly unusual: to be married at least one of you must have a connection with the church, be baptised and be willing to join the church’s electoral roll. This is usually through regularly worshiping with us, either on a Sunday or through the week, for a period of at least six months. However, we would also look to support other church connections especially those who are members of the Tank Regiment, the local Cordwainers' Livery Company or who work locally.
Please approach our priest for more details.
